I honestly can't understand that - I'd rather watch almost any live football match than one on TV.
Agreed.
Some may think that this is stupid but I wonder if the 'full-whack' admission might put some people off. Personally i'd happily pay double that but perhaps people might have expected a slightly reduced entrance fee for a competition of less importance. Just a thought.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Same, though there's a hell of a lot of armchair premier league fans that wouldn't understand that!
We struggled with the midweek friendlies at the D&D (214 against Buck'm Ath), and in the R&DFC days the nearest equivalent competitions used to see a 50% - 85% drop in gates at Nene Park (Setanta Shield v Stevenage 430 followed by Hillier Cup v Rothwell C 160 a week later).
It will be good to rest a few for the cup games of less importance and get a 'gelling' of the whole squad, or we will be like strangers when injuries occur and there has been no practice with new players or formations. If Alfie is rested, perhaps a couple of others may be rested as well, and I know that Elliot Dent is going to be missing for a few matches with his injury. Give the squad a bit of bite and competition for places.
