Friends Re-united this game. Finners, Parsons and Danny Talbot among the opposition.

I would expect Finlay to play out of his skin but the other two shouldn’t phase us.

A lot of rain today down here heading north overnight. Do hope that the clay in Barton le clay can absorb it all. The big game tomorrow to watch out for is Hayes v Hartley. The only surprise may be Arlesey v Cambridge. Of course I don't expect Brownie to be at Barton tomorrow as the might of Kempston and Bedford clash.

Sorry to disappoint but will be at Barton, played Kempston twice & other opportunities to see the ever changing Eagles prior to Easter Monday. The crowd there could be a decent one as it appears a few are drifting back to Bedford now the much needed changes have been made.
Expecting Barton to be tough as all games will be during the run in, sitting at the top we’re there to be shot at and many teams would see taking a point off us as a massive result. Early goal would be nice to make them come out and play. No rain here at present but had a fair bit yesterday, if it can’t drain through the clay it should roll down that gently slope.

Diamonds win 2 - 0 and with Beaconsfield game called off go 8 points clear.

Another one ticked off on yet another horrendous pitch. In conditions like that getting out with 3 points is all that matters, the manner of the victory is immaterial.

Barton Rovers were a truly dreadful outfit, surely one of the worst we have faced in our 3 years at Step 4. They’d struggle in the UCL with that side. What Matt Finlay is doing playing for them God only knows.

Time to start getting some of the bigger games ticked off, of which we have quite a few left to play. A win on Tuesday would be huge.

8 points clear, with 11 to go.

98 points is the maximum possible for any of the other teams in the division, so if everyone below us continues to win, eight wins and a draw will make Diamonds champions. If Cambridge and Beaconsfield drop points, it becomes even easier - I'm not going to call it yet, because anything can happen in football, but it's looking very rosy indeed...
