Another exciting day to look forward too. New signing. New ground to visit. I was hoping for 5 points from Hayes, HW and Beaconsfield so we will need to win today, although a draw would still be a good result. Hartleys recent home form has not been so good and their home record against the top teams is not too hot either (they lost 6-1 to Hayes earlier in the season). But as we know everybody wants to beat Rushden and Diamonds.

Probably not going to get much joy from the other matches today, but as always someone will slip up.

Arseley v Dunstable..........deffo 3 pts for AFC
Camb City v Aylesbury Utd.......Utd are top of the recent form league!
Marlow v CSP..............slight chance of a draw
Northwood v Beaconsfield.......not much to hope for there.
Hayes v Uxbridge.......reallistically nothing for us, but maybe Hayes will think they have done the hard work beating us.

Hayes v Uxbridge is a local derby, so the away side may be up for it

Our traditional winter bottle-job seems to have been pushed back to March because of the weather, then? At the start of the month we were in a decent position to put on hand on the trophy, and as things look now I'd expect us to get dragged down into the playoffs and lose out on promotion in a season where we should have won it.

Same division next year then?

We only bottle against fellow top 6 sides. With Beaconsfield, Cambridge and Dunstable to come, It's time to worry.

We just never got going after getting the early goal. Saying that, from where I was, it seemed a clear penalty on Fairlamb and thought the yellow for a dive was harsh. Huge game next week

Wow James. It didn't take you long to lose faith. We are still have seven point advantage over 3rd place and the top two get promoted. Just Cool Down.

Our luck seems to have deserted us at just the wrong time. Tuesday is a time to get it back. Having blown it a few seasons ago now we'll see what the management have learned. Time to step up now and retake the initiative.

The usual pattern for our seasons is to start iffy, have a great middle, and then the wheels fall off around January. This looks worryingly like the 2015/2016 and 2016/17 seasons all over again!
