Re: Favourite AFCRD season to date

So many to pick from in a short space of time! We've never done things by half whether it was the old club or new. I really enjoyed the step up in quality last year, so voted for that. Loved the hospitality in the northern league. But the UCL was great as well. This year, personally was the worst, b...

Re: Sponsorship shirt idea

I brought this up as well Raz, doesn't sit quite right with me either. It's not very 'diamonds-like' in my opinion. Everything with us has always been fairer than fair and this isn't. I'd like to think I understand the reasons for it, but I think the money-making shirt would have won regardless of t...

Re: Lottery

It’s a great idea which people will do long term imo. Why does the club stream the draws live on its’ social media. Would attract more entrants and its easily done?

2 questions...

1.) Are we only obliged to pay our players/staff that are currently on contracts? Or are we paying them all?

2.) Are the club being proactive in looking into holding fundraising event(s) once government restrictions have been lifted? (feel like we should beat local competition/clubs to this)

Re: Former Players

Interesting to note that Jordan Macleod turned out for Deeping Rangers in the UCL yesterday, meanwhile we're unable to fill a bench. A good player but difficult for him at the moment with the team performing so well without him in the side. Didn't have a car apparently. Not a bad decision IMO. Need...

Re: Realistically what league do you think we could establish ourselves in?

I don't want my above post to sound negative.

We're making really good strides forward as a club.

The progress on Hayden Road is extraordinary and having the bar now is superb, especially with Mick and Jon who are willing to try new initiative and actually listen to the punters.

Re: Realistically what league do you think we could establish ourselves in?

I don't think this is the case. Having spent a few hours in various Rushden drinking holes pre-games, yes there are plenty of Liverpool fans, but with no football to watch on tv at 3pm, they'd love to come and watch some decent live football. BUT, they choose to stay in the pub or at home. Why? The ...

Re: Realistically what league do you think we could establish ourselves in?

Absolutely love the league that we are in now and looking the big picture we've done brilliant to get to where we are. The question shouldn't be how far can we go, it should be how are we going to maximise our revenue? If we do that, we might be able to make a bit of a promotion push, but there are ...
