Re: How to increase the playing budget?!

A few of us at the game last night discussed this exact thing. Many fan-owned clubs, and non fan-owned clubs have done this successfully.

Re: [ Tue 15th Oct ] v Tamworth FC, KO 7:45pm SLPDC AWAY

This club has to be sustainable and that won’t be risked, as the manager stated in his interview he has been trying to improve the squad, however there are parameters to work within and this makes it very difficult. I appreciate that this might not be something that would be shared on this forum, b...

I think you’d have to say that was a slightly improved performance, but it was the same negative result. Tamworth were just simply better than us. A lot better.

FA Trophy Draw...

Banbury (H).

We have the exciting proposition of playing Banbury at home twice in 4 days.

I'm not sure that I buy in to the seemingly widely-held belief that Paul Lamb leaving is the reason for our current predicament. He was still involved last season when towards the end we couldn't buy a win, or a goal!

Re: [ Sat 5th Oct ] v Bromsgrove Sporting, KO 3pm SLPDC HOME

Nicely put, I agree 100%, we need a striker, would love to see Robbins back, but can't see that happening. We know that Peaks likes to bring former players back, having done it in the past with Fazel Koriya, Declan Rogers, Joel Gyasi, and Brad Harris although Brad didn’t play in his second spell. R...

Re: TODAY! [ Sat 12th Oct ] v Coalville Town, KO 3pm SLPDC HOME

The club needs to be proactive, no-one wants the club to go mad and start throwing money about but a small increase in the budget is needed. I believe the management and sadly many of the players have now run their course with the club. Of the senior players only Collard, Reynolds, a fit Dolman, Br...

Re: TODAY! [ Sat 12th Oct ] v Coalville Town, KO 3pm SLPDC HOME

We’re in the middle of a very tough run of fixtures at the moment, but another heavy home defeat isn’t going to do the confidence any good heading in to yet more very tricky fixtures. This one was avoidable too. For the first 30 minutes or so we were doing OK and I thought we were unfortunate to hav...

Re: [ Sat 5th Oct ] v Bromsgrove Sporting, KO 3pm SLPDC HOME

I can't help but think people are going overboard here. If we'd have lost 8-2 in normal circumstances then i'd be as upset as the next man, but the circumstances became anything but normal. We can hardly blame the management or the other players for the incidents that changed the game so significant...
