Re: Walsall Wood

It would be useful if the league could take a firmer and quicker stance on this to set a precedent for all concerned, because the issue of clubs splashing cash on player wages (cash that in this case didn’t appear to last very long at all) when building teams in the summer is making a mockery of the ...

Superb performance right throughout the team. Well done to the players and all those behind the scenes who helped produce that performance. All the lads had a fantastic attitude, looked well drilled and prepared, and the co-ordination between them all night was excellent.

Re: [ Club Statement ] Andy Peaks

8 years at the helm (pretty rare in non-league circles, I’d say), and a couple of seasons before that supporting Starms, Peaksy has been a brilliant loyal servant to the club. I wish him every success at Tamworth, there’s nothing we can do if they make him a higher offer (he must have turned down ...

I’m assuming a bad, long-term injury? If so, does anyone know what’s happened?

Fantastic result and from the looks of the video clip a glorious opening goal. A huge well done to the players, coaching staff and management.

Re: [ Mon 30th Aug ] v Peterborough Sports, KO 3pm SLPDC HOME

To me it looked like the Sports players were giving it their all and their collective frustrations boiling over in the last 10 minutes showed they were under pressure and weren’t liking it. Our set-up and determination prevented them from hitting top gear and by the sounds of it we’re the first team ...

Re: Red cards

The 19/20 season at our level was - wrongly in my opinion, but there you go! - declared null & void wasn’t it? The league can’t really expunge the entire season and then go back and cherry pick which aspects of that season count and which ones don’t. Surely all suspensions should be struck from the ...

Re: Former Players

Yes I’d be interested to know what wording these clubs are using in these new contracts being offered. Corby (Step 4) re-signed Tommy Wright as manager yesterday, for example, and other clubs have been handing players new deals/contract extensions, but under what terms? Presumably there is no start ...

Re: [ Tue 22nd Oct ] v Banbury Utd, KO 7:45pm SLCP HOME

Great performance and effort all over the pitch. We looked lively and creative in the final third during the first half and defended excellently during the second. Banbury were in very strong form going into this one and genuinely struggled to contain us and break us down.

Well done to the lads ...
