I reckon Drury ought to insist the team play in their maroon away kit. ;)
How can a team lose 7 games at home but only 1 away at this stage of the season!
See you there Trek.....I agree ...

Re: Former Players
Rhino was definitely Mark Peters.
I think most people referred to Duane Darby as simply 'Duane'.
Who can be seen frequenting Corby as he is the Youth Manager there and also doing very well!
Lovely to also see Roger Ashby, Nick Ashby, Kev Wilkin and for the real oldies Kenny Mist
Richard ...

Re: Tomorrow Nene Park
How on earth was JP Marna allowed to go to Corby!!!!!!
Because apart from AFC R&D, of course, the Steelmen are the only club in Northamptonshire on the up. ;)
As for going to NP, b******s to that, I shall be travelling the two miles to Steel Park and for a mere fiver see the mighty JP Marna ...

Re: Old Diamonds
The old guys appear all over the place......
Today at Corby we had a visit from Nuneaton, managed by Kevin Wilkin and Gary Mills in squad but sadly injured and Wilko's close friend Nick Ashby was in attendance.
Mark Peters of course is in charge of the Youth at Corby and doing very well!

Re: Local(ish) teams in the FA Cup...
Picking up on your comment about Histon, Tony, they appear to be completely unrecognisable from the team we use to play - no giants, little spoiling tactics, hardly any aerial ball and small nippy forwards. Livermore has certainly got them playing in a different style.
As for atmosphere, I thought ...

Re: Local(ish) teams in the FA Cup...
I'm loving it over there!! It really reminds me of Diamonds about 15 years ago with all of the enthusiasm and everyone is so nice.......for me I had to walk away from Diamonds when it finished as it was too upsetting. Some people will probably say that I should go to the AFC but I couldn't do it ...

You may even know me as many people do, I used to run the Turnstiles at Diamonds.......

Re: Local(ish) teams in the FA Cup...
Is Mrs. Thompson still active at Corby? Never seen her there on any of my visits.
Hi Trek, she was there for the pre-seasons and first league game as they needed help and guidance as a lot of changes for them very quickly but not now
I don't think people realise some of things that she ...
