Re: Fan Expectation

If we lived in a time where money and grants were plentiful or we had a council who would be interested in partnership providing land, joint funding development, enabling growth for the club then I would agree. Unfortunately that does not exist. So it aint going to happen for years. Going alone coul...

Re: Fan Expectation

Lets remember where we are this year. I have one short term expectation or hope and that is that the club can survive this crisis for all spectator sports and remain competitive at Step 3. We may have to accept that we have a ceiling on our fan base whilst playing our football at Hayden Road. Max br...

Re: Sam Brown

We shouldnt even assume money is a motivator for Sam in this move. If it is then its his career and good luck to him. He has given us his best years and may just fancy a new challenge. Not many players give his consistent service through the leagues. Great shame for our defence though which has perf...

Re: Will we play again this season.

I would like to see a club statement re the implications for the club re ending of season with reference to worrying financial situation I presume all contracts must now end for players and staff which should save considerable money over next months.

Re: Will we play again this season.

I cant see us playing again this season unless something radical happens and season runs through summer months to completion, replacing any pre season but with family commitments that will disrupt players availability. Now this has happened once leagues may need to have rules re when future seasons ...

Re: [ Sat 7th Mar ] v Banbury Utd, KO 3pm SLPDC AWAY

I thought Nabils behaviour today was appalling and unless there was some kind of behaviour from Westbrook that he can use in mitigation the manager should seriously consider Nabils future at the club. I don’t want to see that behaviour from our players. The 10 men did all they could in a boring turg...

I wanted to offer my gratitude to our board who perhaps are not always given the recognition they deserve. After the meeting and reading previous board minutes I have begun to realise the scope of work, time and energy these people devote to the club. For me personally it is the first team that is o...

Re: [ Sat 22nd Feb ] v Coalville Town, KO 3pm SLPDC AWAY

A hugely disappointing result in a game where we deserved a point and as we all saw an awful penalty cost us dearly in the end. I would ask Liam if he is prepared to take on the role. He has good technique, experience and would certainly make a keeper work hard for his money. On a positive note the ...

Re: How many points

Billy Kee has signed for Coalville. Ex pro leading goal scorer who has had some rough times and has retired from professional game. Wish him well in his recovery but wish he had signed after they play us. Yes tough month ahead but the lads can grind out results against good sides so let’s be realist...

Re: [ Sat 1st Feb ] v Redditch Utd, KO 3pm SLPDC HOME

Given the circumstances of team selection, windy conditions and losing the captain it’s good to have the three points and just showing in the play off position. Thought the manager interview told it well. MOM really ? Thought Sam Brown was exemplary today but it’s all opinion.
