Already have a copy kept from then but I didn’t realise (or maybe appreciate) how last minute it was all done! Massive thanks and congrats to all involved for that, what a crazy time that was

Re: Former Players

Had an unexpected and enjoyable chat with Darren Caskey today. He played 18 games for us in 2006 under managers Barry Hunter and Paul Hart. He asked about how the club was doing - and if Max was still involved. Darren still keeps in regular contact with Barry Hunter at Liverpool and recounted ...

Re: [ Sat 31st October ] v Ilkeston Town, KO 3pm FAT3Q HOME

To me this has gone 1 of 2 ways: Either we’ve completely messed up dates and procedures/guidelines (but surely the FA would step in if we had) it OR Ilkeston have misunderstood the situation and overreacted (but then surely we would explain and get it sorted for Saturday) I’m confused and as has bee ...

Re: [ Sat 24th Oct] v Coalville Town, KO 3pm SLPDC AWAY

Yeah I felt first half we did a decent job, on another day it could have been 1-1 at HT, but even at 1-0 we were in the game which is all you want away from home at a good team. Second half we weren’t good enough for the first 20/25 minutes in my opinion. They took their goals well but our defending ...

Re: [ Sat 17th Oct ] v Hednesford Town, KO 3pm SLPDC HOME

Very good result, and should have definitely have scored more. Fingers crossed Jesse’s injury isn’t too bad. Casey looked superb again today, still unsure over Hughes - he looked out of his depth at times. Would love to see Prince get a decent length of time on the pitch soon, looks lively but hasn’t ...

Re: SOLD OUT! [ Sat 10th Oct ] v Bromsgrove Sporting, KO 3pm SLPDC AWAY

Great effort by every player today. Unlucky not to come
away with a point I think.
Thought taking Wreh off first was a bit odd though, and we still need a little more quality composure in the final third. Decent performance overall though

Re: MATCH DAY! [ Tue 29th Sep ] v Hitchin Town FC, KO 7:45pm SLPDC HOME

First game of the season I’ve missed and that happens... maybe I’ll stay away!
Was listening to the Hitchin commentary during the crazy Chris Wreh 10 minutes and couldn’t believe it, neither could they!! :cheesy:
Perfect result to head into a weekend off and 5 points from 3 games looks pretty decent

Nothing good to say about tonight. How did we go from one of our most committed, battling performances on Saturday to tonight??
Got back home to Birmingham about 20 minutes ago... not sure I’ll make the effort on Saturday* after that sort of display.

*I almost definitely will - I have no will power
