Re: Anstey title?

Thanks for that Richard. Spalding have two "easy" matches to play. Khalsa, who lost heavily on Saturday, and Coleshill so any slip up by Anstey against Corby could hand title to Spalding. If Anstey should win the league it means that either of Harborough or Spalding will be with us next se...

Re: Anstey title?

In this case he had been suspended for two games yet they still played him.

Anstey title?

Harborough deducted 6 points by NPL for playing player under a two match suspension. Anstey can go top if they beat Corby on Tuesday. The games were against Gresley and Bedworth earlier this year.
Perhaps Stacey could explain how that could happen.

Scott and Wyatt

I must admit I'm not a great fan of young loanees from League one and two clubs, quite often they lack the physical needs for non league at our level and although often technically good they are rarely totally committed. Eg last seasons duo from Cobblers. For quite a while my opinion of our two Cobb...

Re: Three Game Run-in

For Cambridge and/or Coventry to go down that would mean two of the bottom three would each have to win two of their last three games and I can't see that happening. It's going to be two out of the three at the bottom and I think we are probably best placed of the three, (hoping I haven't jinxed it...

Re: Three Game Run-in

Suddenly it's any two from five. We and Rugby have games against teams with nothing to play for whereas Gresley, Cambridge and Coventry all have games against teams involved in play off hopes. In fact all three play Hinckley.

For the remaining games Cairo Taylor has to start, he is our top goalscorer. I understand why we picked a more defensive line up for the last two games but these final 3 are all winnable and it is essential we win at least two.

So after all the huffing and puffing it's at Sixfields after all on 30th April.

What is the doubt about Sixfields? When do NL playoffs commence, as that could rule out Brackley. Corby would be my choice, as best placed geographically.

Re: Three Game Run-in

So the final equation is starting to become clearer. Three games to go. 9 points on offer. How many points will be sufficient to stay up? I'm throwing Cambridge into the mix given their atrocious form. It would seem that Shepshed will play a significant role in this relegation battle. AFCR&D Bo...
