Re: AGM 31st August & Board elections

Bump.
Closing date for nominations for new board members is Saturday at 5pm. Help is always needed to drive the club onwards and upwards. Please lend a hand if you can.

Re: [ NEW MANAGER ] Chris Nunn

The Diamonds lottery is a really great way to help the club and I think it even makes sense for non Diamonds fans as an alternative to doing the National lottery. To win a worthwhile prize of about £1500, like the recent quarterly draw winner, would be about 144,000 to 1* in the National lottery, bu...

Re: [ Sat 22nd Oct ] v Mickleover FC, KO 3pm SLPDC AWAY

Its hard to judge the wider level of discontent in the fanbase purely on some of the vitriolic postings on this forum but I think its fair to say the appointment if Maxwell as permanent manager is contentious. However I'm sure that the decision, however flawed it may, or may not turn out to be, was ...

I hope we kept the receipt for the tracking vests.

End of the line now for Burgess surely? Why would he want to carry on in any case? It must be humiliating.

Re: [ Sat 1st Oct ] v Hednesford Town, KO 3:00pm SLPDC AWAY

I'd imagine when previous Diamonds managers made 7 day approaches for players they'd already have a firm idea that player would come to us - via informal contacts (whether strictly legal or otherwise). Now we seem to be making many increasingly desperate and frivolous approaches to players. I recall...

Hednesford have signed 2 experienced senior players today. That's just not fair.

Re: Someone has to start it

John Dunham has just tweeted that his regular interview & report for the ET this week is with the assistant manager. Ominous.
Terrible problems both on and off the pitch right now. Very worrying.

Re: Club Chair Delay

So have I got this right? We now have 2 temporary chairs (one unelected my members) keeping the seat warm for a mystery person from outside the club, who cannot be named, and who cannot be chair yet for reasons we cannot be told about? Terrific. PS. Is this mystery person bringing £££ to the club? F...

Re: AGM Forum [ Weds 20th Jul ] 7pm @ Hayden Road

AGM and Forum were quite illuminating. Useful updates on the finances, new ground status, squad building progress and so on. I came away in a more positive mood. I think there was a general feeling that the communication on some of these topics to members and fans in general has been poor lately, le...
