Re: [ Sat 26th Apr ] v Long Eaton Utd, KO 3pm NPLD1M HOME

That's 3 seasons in a row we've finished with a victory now. Solid performance as well with a very threadbare squad, two 17 year old starting (one the keeper) players coming back from injury, losing the goalscorer early on and against a team in the play offs.
Great community day as well, hopefully ...

I can think of at least one former player who would be good for the role and popular with the fans.

Looked like if was season over for the players yesterday, so I can't see anything but a Corby win. Then again, we seem to be getting better results against the top teams right now 🤷‍♂️

Thank God they were able to help save him. Such a lovely and caring guy to have around the club! 💎

Re: Quorn!!

I don't share your optimism, just hope I am wrong. Our recent opponents are far below the standard of Quorn and for that earlier match we had Wilson and Dallas as CB's. Now we don't have them and probably not Hughes.
That is going to be our weak point and Quorn will exploit it.
On a positive we do ...

Re: [ Sat 1st Feb ] v Coventry Sphinx, KO 3pm NPLD1M AWAY

Well what a result. Although the comments/responses could have been a lot different!!!! I felt we were in control of the game without threatening. The final 5 minutes changed that. I thought Sphinx’s defence was hard working and any decent football would find a way through and so it proved for the ...

Re: Former Players

Well if you were asked to pick your best ever afcr&d eleven, then Ben heath would surely be alot if people's choices. Snedker and finlay are the only real other options, so for me he's the best keeper we've ever had, for his performances and commitment. If people want to address him as a club legend ...

Re: [ Sat 11th Jan ] v Hinckley LRFC, KO 3pm NPLD1M HOME

With freezing conditions looking to continue for a few more days I wonder what are chances of this game going ahead.

I see the 8th March is a blank Saturday for all teams in our division. It would make sense for the Bedworth match or if necessary the Hinckley match to be re arranged for that day ...
