Re: Rewarding failure !!

The Conference had to make a choice, expunging their results is the only fair and practicable way of doing it at the moment IMO. I agree. If Chester had remained then, bearing in mind their weakened squad, it would be a nailed on 3 points for the opposition in the remaining matches. If we don't mak...

League Table

Anyone know when Chester's appeal is to be heard? I'm getting fed-up deducting points in my head to identify where we are in the table and the effect of results on the play-off places - all the published tables show the points earned against City.

Re: histon away tomorrow

Not going, been working crazy hours and I think the Mrs will leave me if I don't have an evening in with her - I've actually not seen her to speak to in 48 hours so want to spend a bit of time with her - a night in the warm with the Mrs or in the cold at Histon, no contest !!!!! Re: Rewarding failure !!

Next season it looks as though we will be joined by Darlington, whose own financial position is fragile to say the least. Last season the Conference Board accepted Chester City into the Confernence despite not fulfilling their own financial criteria, they knew they were in a mess before a football ...

Re: Rewarding failure !!

I suppose a counter argument is that the other Conference Clubs were asked to vote at the start of the season whether Chester should be allowed in - so they have to take some of the blame for the fact that they aren't getting as many home games as they budgeted for. I think you'll probably find tha...

Rewarding failure !!

The Chester City debacle has proven that the existing Conference rules rewards failure. The only teams to gain from Chester City getting expelled are those that dropped points against City - that is a disgrace and whilst I accept the rules of the competition can't be changed mid-season, the Conferen...

Referees and "fronting up" !!!

Today I watched the League Cup Final and witnessed Man United get the benefit of the doubt (yet again!!!) by having a player prevent an obvious goal-scoring opportunity and yet not get sent off desite being the last man - hell Phil Dowd didn't even give him a yellow card - explain that olne to me !!...
