Re: The Twelfth Man's Biggest Fixture Yet!

Booked my flights yesterday, if we take them to a replay I'll be extremely pissed off because my return is on the Monday. Now all I have to do is figure how I'm getting to Dover and back. It's a shame it won't be segregated because if there's one thing I've missed about the away games with the old ...

Re: [ Tue 1st Oct ] v Wellingborough Town, KO 7:45PM HCUP HO

One thing I noticed last night and reminded me a lot of Sunday morning football was all the shouting and hollering all the time by the Doughboy players. Perhaps it was noticeable because of the smaller than usual quiet crowd. Their goalie was shouting even when the ball was in our half. I w...

'Light Blue Kit'. Whoopee, that's a nailed on win for us then. ;) I'm sure Dazzler and Stagman know exactly where the drums are stored all we need are a few 'drummer boys'. :D Can't wait for this match, it's going to be a great day out. I`m well versed in making a lot of noise  and more than h...

Re: [ Tue 1st Oct ] v Wellingborough Town, KO 7:45PM HCUP HO

I couldn't make it last night, who played well and who was below par ? It sounds as though it was just a run out for the team to be prepared for what our club takes as priority, the League and Vase and possibly an extended FA Cup run. The report doesn't indicate much in the way of performance. COYD...

Re: [ Tue 1st Oct ] v Wellingborough Town, KO 7:45PM HCUP HO

Everyone's accepting defeat, it's just that some opposition fans can't seem to get their head round the fact that we don't really care about these minor cups and have put out weakened teams in both. Don`t know or care whats been said after the game as long as it isn`t anything that has let the Club...

Didn't go last night but apparently some fans can't accept defeat, like someone has said move on, the league is what really matters
Don`t look at either of those so not seen any of what ever has been said

Re: Jake Newman....Oh dear

As Chief Overlord of #Newmanwatch I can confirm that we've not been counting injury time, so it's 779 after last night (plus Saturday, which you've missed out Andy). I'm guessing his one match suspension must start now, in which case he might've played his last ever game for them. Either that or we...

Re: [ Tue 1st Oct ] v Wellingborough Town, KO 7:45PM HCUP HO

We must be more gracious in defeat we have upset our landlord. . Didn`t intend to upset anyone just stating facts, I`m sure they were very happy to beat us and good luck to them in the next round, but having listened to one of the Welly football oracles post match, advising that had Cambridg...

Re: Jake Newman....Oh dear

Got 17 mins last night, or can we assume 3 of stoppage time :?: sure we have a Newman watch panel that adjudicates over such things.
So it`s either 672 + 17 = 689 or 672 + 20 = 692, either way the magic 700 is very close, followed by the full half day at 720 mins.

Re: [ Tue 1st Oct ] v Wellingborough Town, KO 7:45PM HCUP HO

I'm going to be generous and suggest that our lot were still on a high from Saturday. Either that or it's written in to our groundshare agreement that we must not beat Wellingborough. It`s a little moment of glory for The Wellies, and we had made 8 changes from Saturday, Faz still didn`t look right...
