Re: [ Sat 9th Dec ] v Lye Town, KO 3pm NPLD1M AWAY

My first game for a while, when I saw the teamsheet I was extremely worried. However for 43 mins we absolutely matched them and were probably the better team, as previously said 2 poor goals and we trudge in at half time with no belief. It seems if the opposition can score 2 we won’t win as we can’t...

Re: Nuneaton in trouble

You could look at it another way. R&D Overspent, had a fantastic ride into the league and then crashed AFCRD - picked up the pieces had a fantastic ride to step 3, then reached the limit of our resources, manager left (look at him now!!), picked the wrong manager as a replacement then replaced h...

Re: New Manager: Michael Harriman - New Assistant Manager: Tom Lorraine

I think it’s a logical appointment, Michael has the pro game experience, knows what are good habits and what aren’t, Tom who bleeds AFCRD and knows a number of players at this level, I think they could do with another experienced assistant someone who has had experience at this level similar to the ...

Re: Chris Nunn Leaves

Its a real shame it hasn't worked out for Chris, I think he was the face the club needed at the time and he steadied the ship, he had a free ride for last season and when we started to string some results together we all thought that would be the benchmark for this year, but it just hasn't happened ...

Steve was crucial in helping us start our u18s, he was able to assemble a squad and worked with Starms. It was a pleasure to have known him

Re: [ Sat 16th Sep ] v Coventry Sphinx, KO 3pm NPLD1M AWAY

I would have to disagree Bozzer. I don't think the Club has been truly sustainable (i.e not loss-making) for a long time now and had it not been for the Covid year where some superb work was done on obtaining grants, the issues we face now would have happened a few years ago. The year we almost mad...

Re: [ Sat 16th Sep ] v Coventry Sphinx, KO 3pm NPLD1M AWAY

I went for the first time since spalding, beforehand everyone was desperate for it to turn, the view was we were very close and just needed a break. At half time we had played really well, and everyone felt we needed another goal. Within 10 minutes they had equalised and we had the worst half I have...

Re: [ Sat 2nd Sep ] v Loughborough Dynamo, KO 3pm NPLD1M AWAY

Great post Dave, if the part owners cannot provide sufficient members for the board and contest elections then it’s not fulfilling a major part of being a fan owned club. There are a number of people who gave absolutely everything to get the club where it was and over a sustained period, that are so...

Re: [ Sat 19th Aug ] v Fakenham Town, KO 3pm FACPR AWAY

So what can we do to help, can we have a lottery push to boost the budget, get more people to the ground, buy more stuff in dales bar and the club shop, can we suggest players, are their loans from league teams, from step 2 teams, step 3 teams (I saw Drury offer something out on Twitter) is there a ...
