owners with money pay for success, sign the best players on the most money, if only there had been an east Northamptonshire club which did that in the 90s/2000s it would have been great fun!

We’ve had this every year since 2011, unless you are signing players to contracts and paying them from now, no one can actually put any signed forms into the league until 1st July. That’s going to be considerably tougher, spalding chairman has already announced he’s going to promotion and the figures they will have a budget to back that, coupled with harborough and Corby all after the same local players. I think if you are drawing in players from towards london that’s where the souther league will be more beneficial whereas being more midlands based your pool is a lot smaller, along with 2 local clubs fighting and maybe being able to pay more for that same pool of players.

It’s an issue on player recruitment, we recruited for the southern league when we then got moved into the NPL we had to make changes to that player recruitment to adapt to that league and the geographical locations of players.
