Re: [ Tue 3rd Dec ] v Needham Market, KO 7:45pm SLCC HOME

What a flat and low key evening that was. Never felt like a cup tie more like a end of season with nothing to play for. A glorious pass for our goal from Casey was only highlight. They looked a very average side and a second goal would have finished it. However we played poorly inaccurate passes and...

Re: [ Sat 30th Nov ] v Stourbridge, KO 3pm SLPDC HOME

A real battling performance in the second half. It could have gone either way but think we just shaded it and a deserved 3 points against decent side. So good to see us keeping good habits and playing football not just route one. We defended well as a back 4 not missing Liam and Alex (too much) and ...

Re: Nabil Shariff

I remember towards the end of his stay with us we were becoming a little stale predictable and one dimensional. After Nabil left we developed imaginative attacking options with wing play and played some marvellous football. However I don’t think the change was down to Nabil departure more the other ...

Sam Johnson

Tweeted he is leaving club. Assumed Sam was missing due to injury but maybe not. I liked his pace and energy and disappointed in his lack of opportunities this season. Thought he would have combined well with Zac on right side. Good luck to him hope he finds a start.

Re: [ Tue 22nd Oct ] v Banbury Utd, KO 7:45pm SLCP HOME

Well the lads have found their mojo again. What a good side Banbury looked first half. Fast accurate passing and pace. But our goals came at the right time and second half we defended strongly and deserved the three points. At times in the first half our attack looked the part and again the future l...

Re: TODAY! [ Sat 12th Oct ] v Coalville Town, KO 3pm SLPDC HOME

I should have waited before posting as I am very unhappy about todays game. First half we held our own against Coalville who were tough and clearly a decent passing team. The loan player on the left looks as if he can create chances and beat his full back. But the warning signs were there. One strik...

Re: [ Sat 5th Oct ] v Bromsgrove Sporting, KO 3pm SLPDC HOME

It did become in the last 10 minutes an embarrassment for all concerned but if you can meet triumph and disaster and treat those two imposters just the same...... It hurt the players and it hurt the crowd but just have to talk it out, put it behind us and get ready for the next game. Finishing with ...

Re: New County FA scheme

Thanks for that Barton Raz. Looks like they are moving now to get Planning permissions in place to move ahead quickly.

New County FA scheme

Curious if club aware of this project in the local Reporter paper today. Large development of buildings and pitches on Duchy of Lancaster land for the County FA HQ and local clubs to use pitches changing rooms parking etc. Any implications for AFC re our plans. Its on Newton Road Higham Ferrers.

Re: NEXT UP! [ Mon 26th Aug ] v St Ives Town, KO 3pm SLPDC HOME

We have players who are showing great resilience and character, today against opponents who with more ambition should have won this game when we were down to 10. Set pieces are our strength this season and what a fantastic Collard winner. Three points again against a below average team and the leagu...
