First bit of news from the club this morning re: retained players:

http://www.afcdiamonds.com/diamonds-pla ... -20-season

3 or 4 there that I wasn’t expecting for various reasons. The main one missing is Nathan Hicks. Would be a big problem if we were to lose him IMO.

Don't panic, most likely just a case of he was unable to make training last night.

The fact that so many have re-signed shows that as a group they are prepared to stick together and that the management team have faith in them. Or it could just mean nobody else wants them!!! LOL 😂

Of the players listed in this thread I think most/all have now found new clubs or stayed on at their current clubs, the latest of which being Joel Carta who's moved from Corby to K*ttering today.

Joe Iaciofano has gone to St. Albans. Tendai Daire from Lutterworth has gone to Brackley.

Looks like a change of philosophy at Larimer Park, when in easier leagues they signed players from 2 leagues above but now they in a harder league they sign 2 players from Corby who are 2 leagues below.

Regardless of rivalries I applaud all clubs willing to give a player a chance to play at a higher level so good luck to both Kennedy and Carta.

I think they can still afford to throw money at it if they wanted to, they were doing it before Mr Law took over which is why nobody seemed to notice that it was apparently his own money.

Good to hear we have signed Patrick Casey on league papers, plus Ryan Dove from Cogenhoe and most importantly Jesse Akubine, potentially a really good prospect on pre season form. I would like us to sign the trialist keeper. Of all the others it has been difficult to say which would make us stronger as I have not seen all games and get confused with them. By next Saturday I would expect Peaksy to have signed two more, maybe three.

Jesse Akubuine has been standout trialist for me. I'd be interested to know how he's ended up here though, as he seems to have spent the last 2/3 seasons in Scotland playing for various clubs.

Ryan Dove we've seen very little of but clearly he's done enough to impress Peaks.
