This year we don't have too many major projects on over the summer - after the heavy work the last couple of years. It's mainly some general tidying/weeding, jet-washing, moving rubbish ready for skip/trailer collection etc.. painting refreshing in places etc..
We have a Whatsapp Group for general notification of upcoming works at weekends - usually Sundays from 10am for a few hours or what time you can spare. We supply some tea, coffee, cold drinks and sometimes the odd bacon roll etc.. (no guarantees on that - and none today as no stock as yet).
A few people are up this morning (via the Whatsapp group), but if you wish to come up and lend a hand (we don't have huge numbers of jobs today - as still sorting a few other things out).
We may have a few more jobs next weekend as well and will update here and on the WhatsApp groups.
There are a few ongoing jobs in the ground - see another post on forum (to follow) about Project Vista.
The pitch is in progress - we did basic maintenance this year including some re-turfing of a few of the low point areas to raise the heights a bit.
If you are popping up today to give us a hand please come in via gate next to main turnstile.
The old players' entrance is locked as we're finishing off work from a 3 Phase power outage yesterday - Western Power has resolved but have to do some works onsite to complete some new underground cabling. [It was a failure of the main 1940's feeder cable it seems, somewhere under the Burger Hut - lead covered, with a tile on top which is why they suspect it was installed during the war, when steel was at a premium.].

As always, all help is appreciated no matter what time you can give - or even if you just want to come and have a look around ahead of the new season. At least it's likely to be dry today.
