Not looking forward to tonight, will feel very strange, glad to get the opportunity to pay our respects but at the same time sad that we are having to as Justin was so young.

Well, a pretty good first half followed by one with nothing much to write home about. It was a good workout against a Football League side, whose passing and movement was lovely to see.
I felt we still lacked width and purpose going forward but maybe that was due to the quality of our opponents. Difficult to judge so many trialists in those conditions.

Most impressive trialists was No. 8 in the first half. The three outfield players in second half all looked useful. The keeper was probably more commanding than Heath but did not have any saves to make. All of last seasons squad looked lively particularly Acquah, I expecting great things from him. Opposition were very good on the ball and were a stern test. We created chances and with a little luck could have got a draw. Orient will probably be the strongest team we play pre season. Oxford on Saturday will be a good test against a team only one level above us to gauge just how good we are.

Looks like we will be building from the back again this season. Back 4/5 defenders looking solid and second half keeper came off his line bravely and good to hear a keeper talking to his back 4. I don’t think any of the outfield trialist players gave the manager any answers last night chasing shadows at times in midfield and difficult for strikers to impress against good opposition. Way to go yet!
