Some really crucial fixtures this Saturday. IF we can win then we could be in a very good place come 5 pm on Saturday.

Leek v AFCRD
Lincoln v Stocksbridge
Newcastle v Shaw Lane
Sheffield v Basford
Kidsgrove v Spalding
Gresley v Witton

I look at our remaining fixtures and quite frankly they mean nothing to me. We could quite easily beat Leek, Newcastle and Stocksbridge and lose to Carlton and Stamford. We're so unpredictable.

On paper Newcastle's run-in is horrific. Might explain why they've managed to maintain such a high position in the league after looking so average against us on the opening day.

Basford, who have an extremely poor away record, only have one home game remaining which bodes well for us.

No need to worry guys, I'm away and will miss the next 2 games so those 6 points at least are nailed on!! :cheesy:

I thought we played reasonably well on Tuesday, but we need to match the effort and application of the sides we're playing, we are their cup final and bang average teams raise their game against us - as Chasetown did!

We now have 5 (maybe 7) cup finals to win!

Time for eyes firmly to be on the prize and for everyone to pull together and drive the lads over the line!!

Witton lead Spalding 1-0 at HT. So are currently top of the League.

Witton took 2-0 lead but now pegged back to 2-2. So wont go top if it stays like this.

FT 2-2 have Witton blown it?
Next tuesday they play at Shaw Lane for title decider.

I remember going to Leek as a kid - think we were winning 1-0 only for a fire to abandon the game? Hopefully not another repeat.

COYD - huge game!

Chemical fire on the nearby industrial estate I think. Only about 2 minutes to go.

I think we won the re-arranged match 3-2.

I remember that match, underwood leapt like a salmon and headed us in the lead.
