Re: Pre-Season Friendlies
Do the visits to Kempston and Bedford suggest that the club currently expects to remain in the NPL?
It is unusual to have friendlies against sides in the same division.

If you read the rider it says that they are subject to change depending on what league we're in

Yup, read that, just wondering if we could read anything into the choice of these opponents as opposed to say Stamford and Loughborough.Basil wrote:If you read the rider it says that they are subject to change depending on what league we're in

Saw the ntfc friendly coming with JE at the helm, hopefully we should get a decent turnout for that one and put on a good show, hopefully terrace will be in by then?

Re: Pre-Season Friendlies
Pleased to see that (so far) we've got nothing arranged against poor UCL sides. Last year's set of pre-season fixtures including R&H, Raunds and Wellingborough did nothing but give us false hope with the likes of Jackson, Bradshaw and Wreh and possibly contributed to our slow start to the season.
IIRC we also played Deeping and they gave us a very good game. Not surprised to see they had a very good season.

I hope we keep up the Chris Ruff memorial cup tradition.

I'm surprised at that announcement, (at a couple of games) would have thought they wait until it is comfirmed which league we will be in next season. Unless they know we in the SLD1C next season, and thought we could play them twice or something.sandringhamdiamond wrote:Saw the ntfc friendly coming with JE at the helm, hopefully we should get a decent turnout for that one and put on a good show, hopefully terrace will be in by then?

SLD1C suits are style better, more closer/local games in SLD1C, less miles to travel, more chance to win more home games in SLD1C league, means more chance of getting more people through the gates.
