Bit far for me for a PSF, hopefully we will start to up the levels a bit now with the season opener getting ever closer.
  • Play it out from the back.
  • 1 up front.
  • Man gets one good result via a new manager bounce and thinks he's Pep Guardiola.

Terrible foul on Acquah sends him off to hospital. Easily our best player in friendlies so far. I don't think Bugbrooke realised it was a friendly and ref was pathetic. In first half a Bugbrooke player kicked a trialist who retaliated and kicked him back, the ref did nothing,! The best thing to come out of this match was the fact Patrick Casey is looking very good. Unfortunately defenders are not our weak link. A couple of the midfield trialists are looking OK but none of the strikers are exciting me. Three more games before Peaksy has to make some decisions.

I do think James Hall could be a success here but in order for that to happen we'd need to change our style of play. As you could see last night, he's always looking to get on the end of a through ball, making the intelligent run for a pass which isn't coming. He isn't the kind of player that should be chasing the ball in to the corners which is our usual style and something that Tom Lorraine suits.

I would suspect that Acquaye may be out for a while as he was unable to put and weight on his foot. If that's the case that's a real worry and leaves us very short in that area.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

And as we found out last season, wide players are very hard to replace.

"just bruising" for Ben, no break. Hopefully he will be OK for 10th August.

Not sure on number but Casey is the tall young defender. He played in the County Cup matches last season. Hall has played with different numbers depending whether he starts or is sub.
