Wasn't a bad display. It was a good watch as well. We matched Leiston for most of the game but switched off twice and got punished. I think it's something we'll have to live with given the lack of experience defensively.Ricky330 wrote: Tue Nov 16, 2021 9:50 pm That sounded incredibly poor tonight. Why no Connor tonight?
Going forward it was the best I've seen us play in ages (I missed Stratford, Matlock and Hednesford). I must say I thought Deacon held the ball up outstandingly well and offered more than that too.
Leiston were tidy in possession with a couple of stand out players, much better than they were last season.

I agree with that assessment BartonRaz, we gave the ball away too easily at times and brought a lot of the troubles on ourselves - we must retain the ball better!!
Ty was very good, worked hard throughout the game and I thought we should I have got something from that match!
We played some really good football at times and with a little more composure in key areas who knows! I’m not too downhearted even after that drive back - decent performance, we’ll play worse and win!

Just got home from Leiston. Very frustrating result, thought we played well at times but also looked poor at times, to the point where we couldn’t even keep the ball which lasted for what seemed like 15 minutes. Think we could have nicked a point and maybe would have if we went for it a bit earlier... Ty Deacon was very good but I thought the 3 in midfield were below par, not sure how Tshikuna stayed on for that long.
