All Change at the Poppies
Re: All Change at the Poppies
He basically was not going to keep spending the funds that some of the fan base wanted him to do, in other words he was not going to bankrupt himself or the team chasing the that age old dream of the football league.

Re: All Change at the Poppies
From the outside looking in I have found their fans expectations to be a little odd. Playing at Burton Park with attendances well below the average for the National League North their Club has no devine right to be mixing it with the likes of Fylde, Chester, Kidderminster, Darlington or Hereford for example. The only way to compete is through excellent management or investment and probably a combination of the two. He's done it for 10 years and fair play to him for that but it'll be interesting to see what happens now.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Crazy from the K*ttering fans to hound out the guy who essentially was the driving force in saving them back in the dark days.
You only have to read the Patgod blog to realise that not all K*ttering fans operate with a deluded sense of grandeur, but some of them are ridiculous in their expectations.

A little odd is an understatement, but then again they've always had delusions of grandeur re: their status. 150 years of history means the square root of bugger all, at the end of the day.
Let's see their fans step up to the plate now... or just wait for another saviour who they can moan at.

Not really, Glover leaving may get them a better manager who can work with a restricted budget that they will have for next season

Some of the supporters are pushing for Mitch Austin to get the job. Mind you, their self respect went years ago so it's probably a good call for them.

Another name mentioned is Lee Tomlin, they’d take another huge risk if they appointed him, hopefully Lee wouldn’t even entertain the idea though.
