Didn’t Keir Starmer and wboro labour mp want to do their best (new ground) if they got voted in. Or at least knew what situation we was in and northamptonshire. We just forgotten now?

A lot of funding now is based on "fair usage" policy. I think, and it's just my opinion that it is going to get increasingly harder to get significant funding for projects that club specific.
On the plus side a regional hub with stadium pitch, 3g outer pitches and grass space with proper relevant facilities should be an attractive proposition for this area.
We need better facilities all round.

I had a dream last night that we had exactly this but then it was demolished for reasons that were beyond the pale. Oh wait…that’s realitySouthRushdenJFC wrote: Thu Jan 16, 2025 8:44 am.

On a side note but a related one, the lost football grounds pages on Facebook are becoming way too much haha, it is too hard seeing Nene Park on there every other day.

In my opinion the NFA missed a trick on not buying Nene Park.
They may money out to host cup finals, coaching courses and meetings outside of Council meetings. Northants Leagues pay money for their meetings, which at the end of the day the participants pay for.
Anyone who has gone to the NFA offices will know they are bursting at the seams.

Totally agree dave it should have been an amenity for East Northants, disgraceful that it was demolished. Structrally ok but a lot of the plant did need replacing, ie pumps etc
Re: North Northants Playing Pitch Strategy
The club are aware of this but there are many different hoops to get through and a new artificial pitch would take a few years to come into place. Having experience from working on the one coming into Wollaston it’s not as simple as just putting one down and away you go.
Also a standard “Fifa Quality” pitch would only be suitable until NL N/S then a further upgrade would be required to make it “Fifa Quality Pro” standard.

Re: North Northants Playing Pitch Strategy
I personally think we should avoid a 3G main pitch and if possible have training one that we could then rent out. Obviously depends on the ability to have both but hate games on 3G.
