Thank goodness we have enough points on the board that we don't need to look over our shoulder. Can't see us winning another game this season.
I was thinking the same after watching us the last few matches.
Don’t create enough chances and giving away far too many penalties. In my opinion, that’s just poor defending. Just stand up and jockey the player not dive in every time.
Last season we finished 14th under harriman, if we finish below that is it seen as going backwards? I'm not so sure as it's been a really competitive season and everybody seems to be able to beat everybody. Also, the football has been better to watch. I'd imagine the plan for next season is to achieve play offs, going to be difficult with some of the other teams budgets, but standards have to be set high. No point in trying to compete otherwise
Last seasons team would be rooted with 10 points right now in this seasons league. We’d be very similar to Rugby town right now, but from the start. Rugby look so poor

I am inclined to agree. Whilst I'm clearly not impartial here, I do think we would have been soundly relegated this year with last year's squad.
The events of the last 2 weeks have obviously cast a shadow on everything that's gone before but I'm quite content with my supporter's cap on that this has been a much more enjoyable and much more entertaining season than any of the 3 before it. History will remember the points return which probably won't be quite where we would have liked, or expected, given the state of play just a couple of weeks ago. However results on paper don't really tell the story of the season.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....
This season has been the first time forr several years we have not been im a relegation fight. In fact for a couple months recently we were even play off contenders. I for one was getting quite carried away with prospect of the play offs, planning trips to Anstey or Belper, and then latterly even the thought of playing Welly at Hayden Road.
The overall performances have been far better and we actually had a decent goalscorer who excited us.
The only disappointment has been no great improvement in attendances.
I would love us to finish with a flourish beating Welly and in the process ruin their play off hopes.
Not bothered who do get relegated but will someone get a reprieve this season?
We've certainly seen some great football this season, with the odd flash of WOW, where's this team been all season? It's underperformed in my opinion so somewhere this team has a softness that needs addressing for next season. For me Joel needs to be further forward in this side. There's a great team to build on but we need more Bruno type attacking flair.
I think it's a good move to play on Good Friday as the moneybags play Saturday and this gives our team an extra days rest. Stick it up 'em Diamonds
