NP attendances
Well for the 23 games we played at home in the league, including the play-off game, we averaged 1802 by my calculations. That's an improvement on last season's 1506.

Good news indeed fast approaching the 2500 KC wanted I hope that the financial downturn that the country is facing doesn't have a detrimental effect on gates next season. Well done to all.

KC said at the fans' forum that we needed an average of 2000 over the course of this season to break even. Although 1800 doesn't sound far off, it's still 10% down on the required number, which equates to a considerable amount of money.

True, but by the same token it is a step in the right direction all the same after the previous few seasons. If we (the fans) can convince more to come down to Nene Park through word of mouth and even a little advertising games at a local pub, school, etc, we can get to that 2000 figure.davealbon wrote:KC said at the fans' forum that we needed an average of 2000 over the course of this season to break even. I believe that we will see the attendences creep up a bit more if we follow up this season with something similar next year, since it might convince those who are still not regularly coming that this isn't a one off.

Re: NP attendances
Can't KC budget for a smaller crowd, say 1200-1500... or is 2000 a required amount to budget for?
Also as advertising games was mentioned, Im not sure if anyone else has noticed, but in the Cons Club in Rushden, there is a poster for Cobblers season tickets :? (one of the regulars is a Wobbler)... Would be a good idea to put up a Rushden & Diamonds poster up in The Cons.... although he'd probably rip it down knowing him!!!

Not if you want a club to support at this level!diamondgeezer1 wrote:Can't KC budget for a smaller crowd, say 1200-1500... or is 2000 a required amount to budget for?
KC has been content to fund the difference from his own pocket each season, so he actually budgeted for 1500 this season. 2000 is the figure required for him to not have to dip into his own bank account to bail us out.

Would have been lower than that, if Chester hadn't of been chucked out the league! Two of Diamonds wrote:Well for the 23 games we played at home in the league, including the play-off game, we averaged 1802 by my calculations. That's an improvement on last season's 1506.
