Curtis Woodhouse
Off Topic and i know he isn't the most liked person at nene park by you or me but a little update on what he is up too these days.
His Latest fight was screened on sky sports it was the main fight on the undercard after a European title fight in which he won by Technical knock out.
After the fight he mouthed off too a watching Frankie Gavin at ringside and if all goes to plan woodhouse is set to fight gavin in birmingham in september.
Frankie Gavin is a former world amateur champion, former commonwalth games gold medalist and was our brightest prospect to win a medal at the 2008 Olympics but failed to make the weight so couldn't compete, but since turning proffesional along with James Degale who won gold at the 08 olympics is currently unbeaten and a very bright prospect, all of his fights have been screened live on sky sports and sky box office usually on the undercard to Amir Kahn or David Haye.
So in hindsight maybe Curtis did do the right thing, because his dedication to boxing seems to have finally payed off and with a british title fight possibly just around the corner i'm sure he is confident he did the right thing to hang up his boots and put on his gloves.
If he does go on to be a champion atleast our very own tall and ginge Dave Albon's claim to fame is that curtis wimped out a possible tear up with him on that awful day at evesham

We'll see whether it was the right decision when he's laying flat out on the canvas, unconscious, after Frankie Gavin has given him the beating of his life.

Besides, right decision or not, he's still a c**t who took this club for a ride just to keep going until he could make a living from his boxing alone. :x If the fight goes ahead, I think Strikers should show it and we'll turn the bar into the unofficial Frankie Gavin fan club! ;)
