I read all the comments here before reading the actual article on OWS. and was horrified at increase.
But on reading I see it only applies to PDB (which is where I always stand) and as I am sure every true supporter on the PDB is already a Trust Member then the increase is only £1. For me it is £9 as a concession. So what is all the fuss about.

Having said that I dont see why the Conference need to interfere with clubs pricing, surely it is up to the clubs.

I will be interested to see what Eastbourne Borough make of this.

I don't think it will affect Eastbourne, as away fans can pay standing prices the same as home fans. By my reckoning the only clubs that offered home fans standing prices whilst charging away fans seating prices last season were Stevenage, Forest Green ad the Diamonds. K*ttering also did it for certain games, where they didn't open the terrace for away fans - but they've already announced a block price for the entire ground next season. York might have also done that for certain games, but I think they reduced the seating prices for away fans when they did - and last season Cambridge did allow away fans to stand for most games.

Sussex, it's a well known fact that it's cheaper to stand than sit, the price rise is a HUGE % price rise. Somehow it's alright if you're in a Trust/membership scheme and all I'm asking for is the documentation to justify it. I'll no doubt have to join the trust, cos it's the cheaper option. It could well decimate our support though, we'll have to pray it doesn't.

Well I have got to say that it is now highly unlikely I will be visiting Nene Park much next season. I live in Sheffield and when you consider the costs to get home on a train, I really cannot justify this hike in prices which is partly the fault of the club. If K*ttering can drop prices to £10, why are ours £17... its disgraceful. Hurts me to say it but I can't justify it anymore, and I am sure other long distance fans will be the same.

I will just have to make do with visits to York, Grimsby, Mansfield, Althrincham and Tamworth which are all in easy reach.

not every true fan is a trust member that is utter boll*cks!
bully for you with your 9 pounds concesion but someone who isnt in the trust and is a full paying adult its gonna cost them nearly 20 notes and for a conference game that is scandulous!!
if you dont see what the fuss is about then moneys obviously not a problem for you but for many people they cant afford that every week!

Hmm, I have to say I was thinking that too. Doesn't quite add up?? Just like every volunteer on Radio Diamonds HAS to be in the Trust - i'm hearing too many things which I'm not liking, and I hate being pessimistic. :?

As said before I hope this doesn't put off the fair weather fan. Sometimes you have to speculate to accumulate - i.e drop the prices to get more fans in. Look at the competition (K*ttering, Northampton, MK Dons) and price accordingly to pull in your share of the market. It's almost like a bargain brand (i.e George at Asda) being £5 more expensive than say Next or H&M.

Get Trust membership. The club have at least given fans a way to get around what the Conference board have done. Only £15 and if you go to enough games, it'll be worth it.
It's only £10 to be a Trust member if you're over 60 then only £1 per match more than last year's prices.
Alternatively, buy a season ticket for £155, which I've just done, which works out at only £6.74 per match and priority for buying tickets to a FA Cup match against one of the big Premier league teams if we make it to the 3rd round.

The least the club could do now is offer some kind of family ticket. Anything, just to make it seem like it's not all bad because I doubt many people will be arsed to sign up for the Trust, especially fairweather supporters, who I very much doubt would go to 5+ games to see some kind of saving on their Trust membership.

Our first game attendances are usually quite bad, I'm wondering if a 900 crowd would make the club put the prices back down...

I sort of forgot how bad negativity was after last season's greatness. :(

Oh and another thing. On the subject of season tickets many said they couldn't afford forking out so much at one point in the year. I think the Club should look at monthly instalments as a way of getting round this, it would also ensure greater cashflow at times where we don't have many home games rather than a massive lump sum in June.

Adult ST on the PDB is £265, start payments in July to April = £29.50 a month. Much easier to manage.

The easiest option , for those that can't afford to buy a De Banke season ticket, is just to fork out either £15/£10 Trust membership now. Surely there isn't any committed fan that can't afford this one off small payment which as others have also pointed out benefits the Club in other ways?
