Maybe the stay away fans should come down to a match and see the state of the attendance on match days. Absolutely disgusts me that people walk around Rushden/Irthlingborough and surrounding area wearing Man Utd tops etc when theres football a short distance away.

I can asbolutely understand anyone that doesn't go for financial reasons but people staying away as they don't agree with something is showing a complete lack of support for the club - and it's hurting it. Couldn't give a monkeys if people don't agree with this post as i'm not on here enough to read the replies anyway.

The club needs to do something for next tuesday, or we'll see it go below 800.

All Trust discounts will have to be made null and void for that game, you're going to have to pay the difference up to the standard price (£17) on the turnstyle to help with cashflow for the club.

They could always try £13 across the board (due to the current idiotic ruling) in an attempt to lure people out. I'm a season ticket holder and personally wouldn't mind. Or be really radical and drop it to a fiver across the board? If its a flop then a point would have been proved, but can we afford to do that?

Northampton's season is pretty much over, K*ttering's season is pretty much over. We played some good stuff last night, and if we can keep performing like that then, with the shot of a playoff place, a price reduction for the rest of the season could see us win more fans in the long run.

It's been a while since I checked, but I think it works out at just over £11 per game. I've got trust membership and I renewed my season ticket for this season early so I also got the benefit of the early discount for renewals/trust membership.

Thanks for that info, so if the club charged £13 entrance you wouldn't be disadvantaged as a season ticket holder anyway? It might be worth a punt as far as the club's concerned for the rest of this season, just to guage interest as long as it's marketed in the local press?

In my case no. Seated season ticket holders though might be. I think it works out on average about £15 per game, although it's been a while since I worked it out.

I think my half season ticket worked out at about £11.30 per game if I recall correctly, surely that would be the same for someone in the seats too??

Personally I'd love to see us look at a legal challenge to the Conference's ruling, I can't see how it can be legal to force a club (a separate private business) to charge like this.

As has been said elsewhere, there are loads of reasons why people can't make Tuesday games, the cost isn't the sole factor, just one of them - the fact is we can't survive on 800 a game, most of whom I guess are season ticket holders so little cash is flowing into the club, so something needs to be down to tempt people out, we need some creative marketing ideas !! Any creative marketing people on here?????

My mate is a derby fan and he's bought a 5 game ticket for less than it would cost to pay for a ticket each time..

the ticket works by choosing the 5 games so 1 from block A, 2 from block B and 2 from block C. The blocks are decided by the importance of the game, so obviously block A would be the rivals or league favorites (e.g. forest for him) then the other teams are split into standings with block C congaing the midweek games as well..
