Re: Fans Forum...
I was under the impression all ticket prices would reduce so not too pleased to see for the 2nd season in a row a increase in U16 whilst from a business perspective it seems a very good strategy. This shares thing sounds brilliant does anyone have any more info on that?

Not yet, Steve Beasant said it was all being finalised by the legal people as we speak and more info would be published when ready to roll. It means stumping up more cash, but for that you'll get a share certificate and own a little bit of the club. I'll frame my certificate and put it up on the wall alongside my signed Conference winning shirt
I'm sure it won't be a wise business investment, and will not make you any money, but you wouldn't be doing it for that. Be interesting to see how many people will go for it.

I would do it, not as an investment to get a good return but so i can hold the certiicate with pride and say i own a share, the only issue is the legal age will most probably be 16

Seems like a nice idea, something that could perhaps be given as a jokey birthday present, or for local businesses to put up on their wall to show their support.

Not been agreed yet, I think he said 49p per share sold in blocks of £10, but I could be wrong/misunderstood that bit, I'm sure all will be made clear once they're ready to go live with it.

Yeah that's how I interpreted it, we'll just have to wait and see.PigmanRDFC wrote:Not been agreed yet, I think he said 49p per share sold in blocks of £10, but I could be wrong/misunderstood that bit, I'm sure all will be made clear once they're ready to go live with it.
Oh just remembered, JE said that Sam Smith would be offered a new contract in the close season. I like old "smudger", but I do wish he'd get more games in his best role (where he gets all his goals), in the middle. Cross/ work the ball to or around the penalty spot, and there's no better finisher at the club IMO.

I don't think he'd get a chance to play there, the way Gash has slotted into that role (if we sign him, which I hope we do). Then again, Sam is still a young player and I think the reserve league we'll be joining will be of great benefit to his development next year. Two of Diamonds wrote:Yeah that's how I interpreted it, we'll just have to wait and see.PigmanRDFC wrote:Not been agreed yet, I think he said 49p per share sold in blocks of £10, but I could be wrong/misunderstood that bit, I'm sure all will be made clear once they're ready to go live with it.

Also I'll be buying shares in the club as well.

Re: Fans Forum...
Apparently we're keeping the current snack bar operator for next season YAAAY !
And according to "she" at the next fans forum she'll be testing out pies, so come on club when's the next forum ? ;)
Donkey's years ago during the I'boro' Diamonds days the snack bar was run by a little old lady called Flo. Her cheese & onion rolls were legendary, her washing-up teas were also (yuk!). Perhaps the snack bars need a branding like "Flo's " or summat?

Re: Fans Forum...
The shares will be priced at 1p each, but for each share you have to make a donation of 49p on top which will somehow get around us having to pay tax on the shares (or less tax, at least). The shares are then sold in blocks of 20 i.e. £10 per block with the donations.PigmanRDFC wrote:Not been agreed yet, I think he said 49p per share sold in blocks of £10, but I could be wrong/misunderstood that bit, I'm sure all will be made clear once they're ready to go live with it.
500 grand for the club if we can shift all 1,000,000 shares!
