They have got a reporter up there on ISDN and unless the studio kit has broken in the last two weeks, as I understand it they can receive (at least) two ISDN inputs, putting one out on FM and one out on the internet. No idea why they're not doing it this week, other than maybe the guy isn't confident enough to do it on his own.
The BBC amazes me sometimes. You consider the amount of reporters getting sent to locations for no real reason, from news anchors and production staff being sent to Japan when there will already be freelance people there ready to do pieces, or them sending loads of tv staff out to cover the cricket world cup when they were only using the Sky feeds of the action anyway, or them using staff for both tv and radio coverage of the F1 when surely they could use one set for both, or the Jonathan Ross wage saga... and then they've got a station that 100,000 people listen to per week that is about to fall apart. Brilliant.
