Well, if you ever what to make it anywhere in the game, you have to be flexable in relocation. Doe's he think he's guna get snapped up by Newcastle or summat?

Having been slagged by many on this forum for making up a rumour, I'm glad to see reported today that the facts I recounted in good faith were entirely true. There was an offer for Roberts. It was Gateshead. It was £20k. He thought he was going, right up to the last minute when the deal collapsed, (probably as JE's replacement fell through).

For his own reasons JE was less than forthcoming when he earlier "laughed off" this rumour. Next time a "no comment" will suffice if he wants to keep the fans respect.

Or maybe you should read the quotes from Justin and not just the headline. That was typical Mark Lea journalism, those quotes I'm almost sure came from the post match interview after Hayes and Yeading (available on the BBC article), in which Roberts wasn't mentioned.

Anyway, he hasn't lost any respect from me over this. He rightly didn't give away any details in case anything fell through, which it of course did.
