Had a very nice email from Holkerbird on the Barrow website saying how sorry she was for us, also some from 2 or 3 mates who are poppy supporters as well

“I opened up by stating that, aside from Southport, I probably had more to gain than anyone if Rushden were expelled,”
That's nonsense. What do the scum have to gain by us being expelled? Do they expect some of our fans to begin watching them? :?

If anything they have more to lose than anyone, missing out on a local derby and one of their highest home gates of the season, not mention the additional travelling costs of getting to Southport rather than Irthlingborough!

Asides from the strange comment Dave has mentioned, my view of Ladak has somewhat changed. Unless I'm being naive he seems to have acted very decently.

So Ladak spoke on our behalf, but according to the conference statement the vote to approve the constitution of the competition was unanimous.

So correct me if I'm wrong, but when it actually counted he voted against us?

I think the vote if I understand it was only done by the board, not the full membership of all clubs.

Colin Peake (FGR's adminstrator) explained in an interview on the BBC Radio Non League show that after the Chester City debacle a couple of years ago the member clubs requested a change in the rules to mandate the Conference Board the deal with such problems in the future and then present to the member clubs at the AGM.
The member clubs then were asked to vote on their recommendation. The vote by the clubs was unanimous in favour of the board's recommendation.
