Well if the Japanese 'investors' have agreed to buy the club as long as we remain in the BSBP then maybe they're funding the appeal?

You could have 140 years of no achievement, or twenty years of glorious victories, you decide.

But KC said there was no chance we could stay in the BSBP for the coming season, there just wasn't the time to change what has already been decided by the Conference Board.

I'd hardy think they'll boot Southport out now though, there'd be hell to pay.

I wonder if the merger might be back on again. If Diamonds are reinstated without a Northants FA membership or Conference place then maybe they are still technically in the conference. This maybe would allow a merger to go through that wouldn't mean that a merged club would continue to play in the conference. IF the GHA or "Japanese" options are still there then I can see that being rolled into it also.

I get a feeling there's much more to this "whoops it looks like we've not managed to renew our membership of the local FA" than first thought.

Merger? Might as well liquidate us as far as I'm concerned, the club would still be dead to me.

So many games being played eh?

It has to be coming to an end though. This really is the end game - isn't it?

I do hope we survive maybe with the japanese investment or whoever as there are many individuals and businesses to be paid and need the money as their means of survival for now and the future,it is one big mess with a lot of supportive people being mislead for months on end, liquidation is not a good outcome.

Agreed Ferrers, the best outcome for the creditors, but I think for most a merger is as unpalatable as supporting those up the road playing at NP? AFC RD has to be the way forward regardless.

Interesting final line, been used a couple of times on the site.

Smacks of desperation to me; its almost saying "you wouldn't really want us to die, would you, you will support us".
I feel this is along the same lines as "The club is not in danger of going under but we need you to buy season tickets now! And shirts! And any other merchandise from the club!!!!!"

This is simply the reaction of desperate people knowing that they haven't got our support, and probably understand why. If they did have our support, they woulld not have needed to "request" our support.
