Potential way of fundraising....
A lot of people are offering ideas about the new kit for AFC R&D, and it got me thinking.
New York Cosmos are starting again in the MLS in a couple of years, yet months ago they released their new shirt which is on sale around the world. I imagine this is both to raise funds and raise awareness that the club is making a return, well why don't we do the same?
I don't know how viable this is, but why not get a local kit manufacturer to make a kit, get the new badge on, even offer the sponsorship on the kit for the year for a nominal fee (given that it won't be used in a match). Perhaps even the U18 side could wear it? They could be ordered individually and money could be paid in advance by customers rather than bought in bulk so no money will be lost.
Just an idea. I'd certainly buy one.

It's an idea but would a kit manufacturer really make one off kits as and when they are ordered and if they did how much would they cost to manufacture? The thing with clothing is the more you make the cheaper each item is. Maybe have some badges made and get someone to sew them on a generic shirt of some type and offer them for sale.

Wouldn't it be good if we could get one of the old shirt sponsors back. We could even have a whip around for old shirts to make up a full set!

Surely clubs playing at the level that the Phoenix club will start won't have a dedicated away strip just a second choice colour in case of a clash with the home side?neneman wrote:the away shirt must be Yellow ;)
