Thats not bad, i reckon with another weeks notice there would have easily been double that. Is Chris Hope looking to get involved with the youth team?
It was a great turnout at short notice, sky sports news came down and interviewed Chris, steve and myself, and have done a nice little report which will go out tomorrow morning.
It was brilliant just to see a football being kicked about in the the name of Rushden and Diamonds, any fans and or trialists please get to Raunds Town on Saturday and come and be rightly proud at the start of something amazing.

Saturday should be better too, according to Piggers 8-)
But I know nothing  Just basing that on hopefully the word getting around a bit and it being a Saturday.
7 lads shone out tonight I thought, they had that little bit of quality about them - glad I went over and as bozzer said, it was good just to see a football kicked around in our name.
I'm getting quite excited about the future !!
Raising awareness of Motor Neurone Disease RIP Dale Roberts - gone, but never forgotten!!
In all fairness, just a suggestion, you ask any local coaches/league secretaries around here who know the Weetabix/Northants Youth Leagues well, they will be able to easily tell you local quality players. Rushden & Higham U18's would be a good place to start, but plenty of solid sides around such as Irchester, Thrapston who I'm sure have players who would rather play for a more prestigious club...

I can't work out if this is serious or not... If it is, then for the kids sake I hope people don't do this. I'm uneasy about the youth team idea anyway but I wouldn't want someone to leave a proper setup to play for an afc youth side next season.

More prestigious? How? No ground, no players, no set-up. I doubt many would want to leave their current set-up for that.
