Don't know if this has been mentioned, or if it's out of date now.

I mentioned it in the Car Boot thread a few days ago.. no idea why and I can't even remember posting it in that section.

One problem with this - our Senior Team will not have "amateur" status as they will be getting paid. They will be semi-pro. ;)
Don't lose the enthusiasm though - it's fantastic to see people looking for any new revenue streams!

Surely our senior team (assuming we get one in the UCL) will only be getting expenses and not a wage? Is there a definition of amateur?UttoDiamond wrote:One problem with this - our Senior Team will not have "amateur" status as they will be getting paid. They will be semi-pro. ;)

That depends, even in the lower division there are allegedly one or two clubs who pay quite well, others who pay nothing at all or even charge the players a match fee. Unsurprisingly those that pay most generally do best. There is supposed to be one Premier Division club with no playing budget this season. Two of Diamonds wrote:Surely our senior team (assuming we get one in the UCL) will only be getting expenses and not a wage? That'll be Irchester I assume ? I heard the manager was paying their wages and cleared off with the team.

Oops forgot about the Irchy situation, they aparantly had a decent budget before Darren departed, probably not much now. I was thinking of Sleaford.
