Don't forget the humour that hill provided. I mean the headbutt at Salisbury was hilarious :D

Rushden and Diamonds, K*ttering Diamonds, Manchester Diamonds. What's the difference? Loads of people in Irthlingborough hated 'Rushden' so as far as I'm concerned, seeing Rushden scrubbed out in Irthlingborough is great. I'm going to make that photo my profile pic on facebook! :D

Yes, of old and I could never get my head around cheering for 'Rushden' so I didn't. That said, I do feel sorry for the younger fans, which is probably most of them which as you say have never known any different. It must been an extra twist of the knife to see Kettrin move in and I know from my own experience, in 20 years time, you proper R&D fans will still feel the pain of seeing your home town name scrubbed from all footballing references, AFC aside.

Funny that. When Prince Charles came to open Nene Park, Irthlingborough Council did not get invited. Suddenly they should be fighting 'Rushden's' corner? I wrote to ENDC years ago suggesting they put money into IDFC (can't remember the details) and got a letter back saying it was a private concern on which public money couldn't be spent. So at least you could say they are consistent.

The more you read about the Poppies rebranding the place the more you wonder what their stance would have been if a "groundshare" was the only thing on offer at the end of last season. They would then have had to play in front of all the Rushden & Diamonds signs etc - perhaps that would have been seen as a deal-breaker.

I think this sums up Cousins' ambitions and whether a groundshare was ever on the cards.

I think we all know what his intentions were along time ago, never in a million years could I ever imagined this happening before Cousins took over, just goes to show how far some people will go for their own personal greed!

ARE YOU HAPPY NOW, KEITH COUSINS ?
