UCL Division 1??
Re: UCL Division 1??
Anyone know how likely this proposal to change Step 5 from 14 to 12 divisions is to go ahead ? How do other local teams feel about it ? Proposals look pretty bloody crap on the surface for Northants teams but I don't know much about it.
It's all pissing in the wind if there is no UCL Prem next season to apply for.

Any changes will take effect from 2013/2014 season so we will play in one of the UCL divisions (we hope) for the 2012/2013 season.

To be quite honest I couldn't give a damn what league we're in, so long as we're playing!
...Though obviously it makes sense to apply for the highest league possible.

Hey Alan, please don't think for one minute thats what I was doing, nothing was further from my mind. I was genuinely curious thats all - speaking of your own club, I'm immensly impressed with the set-up down there and as I've been looking around at different clubs I can see the massive amount of dedication people have for running these clubs.bedforddiamond wrote:So perhaps Jim the morale of the story for some fans is don't look at down on club's who don't muster the support you do, they survive in there own merry way and at a level they are comfortable with and can afford to sustain. The original RDFC didn't hang around to long, even when gates were good, it's all about finding a standard and maintaning it with the resource you have.

That's very true. Out of interest how many UCL Premier clubs, apart from St. Neots, have moved on to higher leagues over the last few years?PigmanRDFC wrote:
