Its quite surprising to see so many of their "faithful" stating they'd want nothing to do with a phoenix side should KTFC go "boobies up". I think they miss the point of what a football club is all about, its the sense of community, the comaraderie, that feeling of belonging to a common cause. If they got off their backsides they could help to create something really special in the K*ttering area. I see one or two up for the challenge, but for a set of fans who have always come over as so very superior and always so critical of us and our plastic support, I find it strange that they would just roll over and do nothing to keep their club's name alive.

The heart of a football club is its fans, our's is still beating strong !!

I read that, some of them seem to be realistic, but the majority are just sitting their with their hands in their pockets waiting for the knight in shining armour to come riding over the hill.
They need to get real, they are on the verge of going tits up and they still think they are going to carry on as normal.

I will admit, that we had a few fans like that, but even they have come round, now they can see we are serious and have done something POSITIVE 8-)

the club isn't the ground or the name, it's the people that go and watch it. without them, you have no club.

I was chatting to a friend who happens to be a KTFC fan via facebook. I was basically saying that his team was screwed and the fans needed to get organised and set up the phoenix side fast. His response was that they still have plenty of time to get plans in place and wasn't worried. There is so much apathy it's incredible!

I was amazed when i read that on Poppynet.

I was also amazed about their chairman's comments about Mark Cooper in the ET

“When you are in a position of management you need to be strong enough to deal with it and you need to be able to sit down with your line manager or chairman and have a sensible discussion about why things have changed and what’s being done to alleviate that.

“But Mark has declined every opportunity to have that discussion.

“So I am a bit confused. We brought Mark in because he is a fantastic manager but I don’t think he is doing himself or the club any favours by the way he is dealing with the situation.

Yeah right!, you don't have any friends on Facebook ChorltonV LOL, hows the ankle?

Anyway back to subject matter, they are almost out of time and out of luck, they will soon be gone if their fans don't "pull together"...... ;)

Been saying this for a while, the apathy is astonishing.

They went on about us having plastic fans and now when it matters they're sitting around doing sweet FA.

You could have 140 years of no achievement, or twenty years of glorious victories, you decide.

I've often thought about that, the truth is they spouted the lie about us being plastic so often, they actually believe it. To honestly believe that to have a monopoly on caring about a football club is based on the age of the club is ridiculous and belies an arrogance that is now stifling any future movement toward a phoenix club and a way out of the mess they find themselves in.

If 120 years of history breeds the type of supporter that can only sit on their arse and wait for someone else to bail them out, then they don't deserve our pity.

I'm quickly coming to the conclusion that they don't possess the wherewithal or type of fan capable of setting up a Phoenix Club. I agree that all they appear to be doing is sitting on their hands, spouting a load of bile in Ladick's direction and expecting their Trust to get them out of this mess.
