I hope St Neots smash them in the re-arranged game. The ref deemed the pitch playable and just because they didn't fancy it the game was called off. I got to the ground just as it was called off :evil:
So did I DW! Literally got there as they were told and started chucking people out. Went into the (packed) bar and had a beer. Went out to look at the pitch and it looked fine to me.

Surely they'll get some sort of fine for refusing to play if the Ref said the game could go ahead?
The ref did call the game off though so they'd probably avoid a fine - the fact they weren't going to play forced his hand somewhat. St Neots did the right thing by backing the ref otherwise he'd have been hung out to dry.
If the game had have started the Daventry players would have been rolling around feigning injury so the game would have been a farce. It amazes me that a semi-professional team can have such a poor attitude towards a game of football. I'd have been desperate to get the game on considering they'd already got there!

Just wanted to thank all you guys who came over for what was sadly a wasted journey. We tried but fAiled at the last hurdle (a team that hadn't scored for 6 or 7 games) who just didn't want to be there.
