You what mate?
LOL, note to self take more water with it!.
What i meant was it is very difficult to choose as each choice will be based on the experience you had there, so all the grounds where we had success or put in a great performance. If it's just on the ground then hillsborough is in it every time despite the relatively poor match. However i also have fond memories of the shay when we were promoted and we were all getting checked for ripped up yellow pages, the ground was not great but the day was fab.
I agree with all that have been mentioned, I will also add Hull city's old ground boothferry park. Although it was a hole and we lost the game 2-1 the ground had a special feel about it, similar to Shrewsbury's old ground. I remember the terrace behind the goal with the seats above, we were stood at the opposite end at the back of a kwik save
I'll also throw in afc Wimbledon/ kingstonian ground, purely for the peel pub and the strippers
The things she did we that RDFC scarf made our day
5, sheff wed...just in awe of the place, good old fashioned ground, loads of history
4, rockinghorse......shit gound but for the duane game alone
3, spotlands...what a night that turned out to be....didnt stop smiling till....cardiff!!
2, highfeild road.....what an atmosphere, never thought id enjoy myself so much after getting beat 8-0
1, elland road.........up till they equalised them few mins will live with me forever...personally my favorite moment!
WHEN I SANG RUSHDEN TILL I DIE I MENT IT! LONG LIVE THE AFC...
I was expecting more of the bigger grounds to appear, good to see how different people prefer different grounds. Just going to throw another 1 in there, Plainmoor. Went twice, once on the scorching hot bank holiday where Woodhouse was sent off and the other when Tommo scored against the big ginger keeper, Bevan maybe? Nice little ground.
Another one to consider is Prenton Park, where we produced a "just like watching Brazil" performance in the first half, and then a fine rearguard action in the second to beat Tranmere 2-1 on a lovely sunny afternoon.
5) Rochdale's Spotland. I didn't get to the second leg of the play-offs, so I'm voting for it based upon the other 2 occasions I went. There is a fantastic chippy serving chips & gravy outside the entrance for the away fans, and all the locals were very frinedly & welcoming in the local pubs.
4) Hillsborough - the huge size of the place not to mention it's history & heritage of the club based there. Again, we were "escorted" by some Owls fans around local hostelries we really shouldn't have been in, but were fine.
3) Loftus Road, was a great experience. Been there as a Diamonds fan and as a neutral whilst visiting London (QPR -v- Blackburn Rovers when Shearer played for them)
2) The Boleyn Ground - I always had a soft spot for the Hammers and was taken there in my youth by my brother who remains a fan to this day.
1) Nene Park - 40 years of memories, eight titles & too many cups to remember. Too many memories of great days before & after the merger; sadly now off limits. I drive by it 5 days a week with a heavy heart and an old memory pops back to raise a smile. I miss that old place, but like the old crab that I am I'm not giving way on what I know and believe to be wrong in my heart, I couldn't live with myself if I did.
5) Hillsborough
4) Deva Stadium (the first and last time i took part in a pitch invasion).
3) Sheffield Utd (still remember Skippy's flukey goal).
2) Coventry ( posted before about our 8-0 loss, but our fans were a credit that night).
1) Millennium Stadium ( we may have lost that day,but my favourite Diamond player ever Paul Hall scored an outstanding goal).
5, Farsley Celtic it wouldn't look out of place in the league were in this season plus alot of my friends didn't make the journey and i always remind them i was there and they were not.
4, Tamworth i think i've been 3 times and seen us win them all and got some great stories and memories.
3, Northwich Victoria because you could get a beer all game.
2, Burton Albion because you could get a beer all game.
1, Kidderminster because of the food (apart from when it ends up all down my leg and all over my shoes).
Just wanted to say a few different places, obviously nene park is my favourite and the others would be hillsborough, loftus road, Wrexham and quite liked the shay (halifax) for some reason but it was always bloody freezing!!!

Great shout. Remember that day well. My dad lived much of his childhood in Moreton in the Wirral and we went there first (first time he'd been back in 35 years) to see his old house and go to the beach. Wasn't much of a beach though.
How we held on in the second half i'll never know. The fans sang for 90 minutes and were truly the 12th man. OBN made a point of getting all the players and staff over to the away support at the end to thank the fans.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....
Nene Park brought some of the best memories of my life, and Im glad I got the chance to have what I knew was going to be my last little look at the place, after our last fans forum.
I liked loads of grounds, but for some reason, Wrexham and Bristol Rovers stick out for me, proper grounds! I liked Burton Albions ground, Roots Hall, Exeter's St. James' park. Something about Grays that I liked aswel :? Love Aldershots Terrace. I liked Brackleys ground aswel.
Favourite (other than NP): Wrexham
Least Favourite: Sixfields
One I'd love to tick off with Diamonds... Wembley.
