Very good point, I hadn't thought of it like that.Sara Pascoe wrote:
Right so what's the difference between MK Dons and K*ttering, since MK Dons are always called a franchise club? Wimbledon were moved to MK because the owners saw the opportunity for a bigger market and a better stadium and commercial opportunities. K*ttering's fans VOTED to move out of their own borough so that they could have a better stadium, better commercial opportunities and to try and gain some of our fans from the local area. Both examples are exactly what happens in US sports in terms of franchises moving location. Surely having the fans actually vote in favour of franchising themselves is worse than the owners just doing it?! They're basically admitting that they're gloryhunters, only concerned about success, f*** tradition and being located in the borough that holds your name, that doesn't matter.

Circumstances are slightly different to those of the Dons but K*ttering are no better.
They are playing 8 miles away from home, in somebodies else's town, in somebodies else's ground. They moved because of the better stadium facilities on offer; that's no different to a US Franchise moving cities because somebody else has offered them a better stadium.
A K*ttering Town fan is a K*ttering Town fan; no single one is better or worse; its the normal rank and file fans which voted to move to Nene Park so as far as I'm concerned they should all suffer.
A rivalry is fun; K*ttering Town 0 Duane Darby 2 will always stand out has the greatest ever Diamonds match and it would be great to clash head to head with them again some day but I can't help but hope that K*ttering Town is destroyed during the summer.

Oh and those people that would be looking forward to a match with K*ttering: Do you not find the idea of stepping into NP awful? Aside from the fact that you'd be giving them money, indirectly lining Cousins' pockets, doesn't the thought of having to look at the "KTFC" in the seats, "K*ttering Town Football Club" on the front of the stadium and the Dale Roberts Terrace not turn your stomach? I'm not saying that you're wrong for not thinking like that but I'm pretty sure we've had this discussion before and people's views appear to have changed.

I'm with you on that one, whilst I look forward to locking horns with Kettrin again, and it's inevitable it will happen, I won't ever set foot in NP again. For exactly the reasons you highlight. I won't give any money either directly or indirectly to the man who killed my club, and quite frankly it breaks my heart seeing KTFC plastered all over that stadium. I couldn't possibly go through the torture of sitting in the place for ninety minutes. It would be like returning to the scene of an horrific crime.

Re: Desperate measures.....
I'd never set foot in there again, especially whilst Cousins is involved. I've said my last goodbyes to that place at the fans forum, and will always hold great memories of it. It was my childhood.
Plus, the chances of me getting arrested would be almost certain.
I'd just stand and chant from outside the ground, on my own if i had to.
With modern day technology you never know if the game could be (illeagally) boradcasted to a pub full of diamonds fans, that would be an ideal scenario
