I disagree.

They voted to go to NP and they supported Ladak with a move which defied all common sense and logic.

Then, when the troubles because obvious last season, they had the opportunity to act, force him out and get the club signed over to the supporters. Their ambivalence, intransigence and ignorance led to Rolls turning up instead.

If they had acted they could be stabilising at Corby. Sure, Ladak is the greedy and inept driving force of failure - but the supporters have been complicit in it every step of the way...and those on Ploppynet the most complicit of all.

^That^

Fair enough Ladak probably would've taken them to NP even if every one of them had raised their hands in favour of staying at RR, but when he openly called for a buyer early in the year their Trust was nowhere to be found. They could have taken over, broken the lease and moved to Corby. Instead their fanbase stood still and allowed Rolls to come in. Then Rolls came in, fed them the finest bollocks you can buy and they all just allowed him to f*** over another set of creditors and players!

It's not like they could see what had happened to the previous club at NP... It's not like they were warned over and over and over again by us, Cambridge and Weymouth fans...

And it's not funny in the slightest...

I think I might get "at least it's not UCL 1" tattooed onto the inside of my arm. Just so I can see it every day and laugh at how someone could be so short-sighted.

I was sad to read the goings on there on Saturday but now I just think the sooner they go bust, the better, finedon_dave's post on there hits the nail on the head, it was morally wrong for the club to go into CVA, then go and celebrate and stay full time and rack up even more debts and it would be morally wrong for them to continue this farce any longer after all the people that club has screwed over, and it amazes me how some of them are criticising the SL, who imo have done the right thing, if you're not going to pay your current players then you shouldn't be allowed to bring in any more and just brush the unpaid players under the carpet regardless of all this deregistration nonsense.

Hmmmm maybe a few more of our fans could have done things to stop Cousins taking over the club, how many voted no? We were as apathetic as they've been - the benefit of hindsight eh?

At the end of the day I know the wrongs of the CVA situation and its right that they now pass away - but don't expect me to show the same lack of class that some of them did when we went eh? I thought we were better than that, we're a fan owned community club !! Football fans are losing their club and "money men" will ultimately make a killing out of the loss of others - don't expect me to celebrate that.

Still, they might yet be saved by their own sugar daddy if you believe some of the stuff being written on the net

Oh and Lee, I'm a hypocrite - I've always said I'd lose no sleep over MK Dongs going bust, but thats a whole other debate about a football community having its club stolen ;)

totally agree Piggers, but I can see, the other side of the coin, a lot of our fans were rightly upset, by the amount of vitriol that they suffered when R&DFC went pop, and they see this as Karma, and I for one would not let them have that karma 8-)

however, moving on, I agree, we need to show our class, rather than drop down to the level, some of them did, when they danced on our grave.

We could argue about this all day, but it's swings and roundabouts 8-)

I remember an open meeting held in Strikers, that Doyle, Jo and I set up to voice our concerns about KC taking control. It was attended by approx 30-40 people, so basically although we tried there was not enough support

40 I believe and they were called stupid. Although we were pretty much screwed weren't we, same as them? Nene Park is just too expensive, unfortunately.

Agreed Bob, "different strokes for different folks" as they say - we'll never agree on this, but I think its sad that yet another non-league club is faced with going to the wall its why the fan ownership model we have adopted works so well.

That's right - and we did follow that up with various meetings with David Suddens to find out what the real situation was regarding the takeover, but the group was always too small to stop the assets being given away to secure what was relatively speaking quite a small initial loan.
