You know we were the better team when the man of the match was THEIR keeper

Gutted I couldn't be there, but sounds like a great result against opponents in the league above us. Also sounds like Morgan took his chance very well indeed, with Alfie being out for a little while. Was it a Ranks-esque header from Morgan at the death? And I can imagine the reaction as it rolled into the net.... Bet everyone went wild haha!!! :D :D
'...Wardley again.... Now Butterworth trying to provide some inspiration; What will the response be from Rushden??? IT'S A GOAL FROM ONANDI LOWE!!!!.... Third Division POSF 2nd leg; Rochdale 1 Rushden & Diamonds 2 Tuesday 30th April 2002

Haha it was quite Rankine-esque! Bit further out than the SS Final but very awesome.

It was actually very very similar to Ranks' header. The ball seemed to go in so slowly!!

I thought it was a good cup-tie that with both teams battling to win. They had some good chances but we finished the stronger and looked the more likely winners the longer the game went on.

Bit of a comical goal but deserved for his bravery and good play. Very disappointing we conceded virtually straight away after we'd taken the lead.

I thought there would be more than the 350 reported there after recent crowds. Perhaps it was the distance or the fact that it was a cup game?

A home tie would be nice.......

Their players all seemed to stop and watch it rolling in, we weren't absolutely sure it was valid until the ref (our mate) gave it the thumbs up. It rolled in slower than a plumber paid by the hour.

I personally thought there were more than 350 there. Always difficult to judge accurately in a ground that I've never visited before. I suppose it's good crowd for Yaxley who have only averaged 66 for their home league matches this season. I enjoyed my visit despite no real ale on offer in their club house.
Will be interesting to see how large our attendance will be against BPW.
