Re: Tamworth Away.
I think this might turn out to be a key game in our season - if we win it will hopefully make afew more people believe we are candidates for the playoffs and turn up for the Gateshead game, but if we lose it will mean we need to beat a couple of our close rivals when we play them.
Without a midweek game next week, and the Chester points likely to have gone before next weekend we need to pick up some points to keep in the playoff zone.
It sounds like there is still room on the coach for what is an easy trip - there is still time to do other things on Saturday morning then head off for the game.

If we don't win tomorrow, we could well find ourselves outside of the play offs by next Saturday as our rivals have some very winnable games during the week. Tamworth don't have a great home record but our players need to avoid feeling complacent. The goals have dried up a bit recently so converting more chances will be important as will a return to top form by Tomlin. I would add some variety to the attack by ensuring that Smith was the first choice substitute for Louis ahead of Akurang. Jefferson & Cliff are too similar in style whereas Sam has a different way of playing which is more likely to have an impact on tiring defenders.
Ladies and gentlemen, Elvis has left the building.

Agreed. As you say the goals have dried up a little, and it is time imho, that Sam is given a bit of a chance to win a place. Although J-LO has done well and Az has also done well, and Faz coming off the bench always give you 100%, i think we maybe need to try something a bit different, and i definately think Sam coming off the bench would give us that.Turveyman wrote:If we don't win tomorrow, we could well find ourselves outside of the play offs by next Saturday as our rivals have some very winnable games during the week. Once again another very important game, but we hadn't won at Histon before (i dont think), so we know how to grind out results.

Stuart is back too, but Terry misses this game doesn't he? Nicky Mac out too, so probably a start for Wolleaston.
Should be me +1 going.

I thought Terry and Stuart were both still out? 10 yellows is the same punishment i presume.
Is it segregated at Tamworth? Will be my first visit.
