I was speaking to a lad at work regarding BPW, as he used to play for the reserves. He has heard that alot of the BPW players were unhappy with quincy, as apparently there is some ruling that a goalkeepers undershorts must be the same colour as the main shorts and quincy's wasn't. They want him to be fined...

Is there any truth in the matter and is there such a rule?

Haha, we're not in the Premier league. Rules like that can be overlooked and are overlooked on a regular basis.

I don't see what their problem with that is personally, but there you go.

Surely if there is such a rule regarding the colour of undershorts then it's nothing to do with the opposition players and purely a matter for the match referee. He must have been happy otherwise he would have taken action on the day.

I'd say the kit is Red and Black, so either colour should be fine.

That was certainly a rule down to Conference level - anyone remember Jan Molby blowing a fuse when we scored while their player was off the pitch removing his non-matching undershorts? As others have said its purely an issue for the referee.

I see you've chosen to accentuate the negative there (on the goalscoring front). You omitted to mention we are the top scoring team away from home, or that only four teams have scored more goals than us overall - or indeed that only Oadby and Sileby have better goal differences than us.

Well yeah but isn't the away goals stat due to the fact that 5 of our 8 games have been away from home? That's one more than both Oadby and Sileby and two more than Eynesbury.

I don't want to be panicking too early, if we'd won either of our two home games then I wouldn't be too worried about Saturday. However, since we've dropped 4 points in 2 games I'd say we do need to win this game. I'm praying for a good first-half display because we really do need one.

If thats the most they have to complain about it suggests that they were fairly happy about the rest!
