Coach to Ashington, Issues
right we have 33 people booked, at present we 75 pound short of the target to cover the costs.
As it stands without extra bookings we have these options
1. Cancel the coach
2. Everybody pay 2.50 extra, to make the difference
3. Find sponsorship for the reaming 75 pound or so (unlikely unless you know any companies)

It would be a shame to cancel it for the sake of an extra £2.50 from the 33 people. I'm very surprised it hasn't been fully booked.
R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.

Just a suggestion but would the Club be willing to fill the gap to get the 33 up there. Even if the club put £30/40/50 towards it, it will make it an extra £1 each.

No problem with paying the extra £2.50. It would be a shame to cancel - looking forward to it!

I will make the decision then on Wednesday, in the mean time I will try to contact everyone on my list.Scarey wrote:No problem with paying the extra £2.50. It would be a shame to cancel - looking forward to it!

I'd like to think the club might step in and plug the gap as long as we don't have a load more drop-outs. It could potentially be our one and only coach trip of the season (unless we beat Ashington) and it would be fantastic to have so many there.Rushdenjim wrote:Just a suggestion but would the Club be willing to fill the gap to get the 33 up there. I happen to think you might get a few more bookings this week Ron, there's probably people leaving it until the last minute to decide.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

How about you run a football card on the way there and back, that should fill a large gap ?

I was just going to suggest that ;) they are an easy way of making a few quid!Three of Diamonds wrote:How about you run a football card on the way there and back, that should fill a large gap ?
I have spoken to my dad who is booked on the coach and he has no issue with paying the extra, it is less than the price of a pint at the end of the day.

The football card thing is hand, but I think that may raise around 20 pounds, the other 20 too the winner.
As its stands I will do every thing in my power to make the difference up, I hoping for last minute bookings as well.
I will badger my wife as she runs a shop in Brackley and she might be able to sponsor us but its tough times at the moment.

Re: Coach to Ashington, In doubt
Have you spoken to the coach provider? If it's cancelled then lose all the profit as well as probably still having to find the wages for the driver and not much chance of re-booking the coach.
If they can knock the price down by £30 or £40 then it's probably only an extra pound per person.
